SAFETY SPECTACLES
Some employees may require prescription safety spectacles manufactured to EN166. We can offer an eye examination service but are also happy to supply safety spectacles to a valid prescription from other Opticians.
We offer safety spectacles from Bolle-safety [visit www.bolle-safety.com] and Uvex [visit www.uvex.co.uk].
There is a wide choice of fashionable frames, featuring both metal and plastic styles suitable for both male and female staff. We charge one price for all frames from both suppliers, inclusive of VAT, all fees and charges (except eye examination fees) and a spectacle case.
They can be supplied with single vision, bifocal and varifocal plastic (CR39) or toughened glass lenses. For added safety Polycarbonate lenses can be supplied.
Where companies have their own arrangements with safety companies we can supply safety spectacles to your employee if a safety spectacle order form is supplied.
Please note – Safety spectacles are guaranteed for two years and to comply with EN certification must then be replaced even if they are in good condition. During this time appliances should be inspected for defects or damage and for all repairs, no matter how minor, the appliance must be returned to the manufacturer or the guarantee is void.
