Virtual London Marathon #MyRaceMyWay

The team at Coleman Opticians has been busy with their virtual London marathons on 4th October.

Radley and Katie had places for the original date in April and were keen to do their bit in October with the new #MyRaceMyWay virtual event.

Radley ran the marathon with another optician friend Ben Hing and achieved a very impressive 4:25 despite the lack of crowds and London landscapes! It was definitely a great boost to get some toots and claps from people in the streets. Radley was running for Break charity.

Katie who was running on a place for the Coltishall Jaguars decided to take up the challenge with her dad Cliff, who had a stroke 12 years ago at the age of 55. They decided to walk the length of the marathon, and with the help of some boosts from grandchildren, coffee, and sausage rolls, they made it in at a very respectable time of 9:58.

Not wanting to be left out the rest of the team did a range of activities covering at least 2 miles each, to complete a third marathon. Some of the activities included dog walking, paddle boarding, running, walking with twin toddlers, cycling, swimming, running with high heels, and canoeing.

The team is so pleased to be supporting Break charity and if you would like to sponsor them please click here and let’s help make it a great total.
